USCG Kodiak Rescue team at Cape Sarichef

This is a photo of some brave dedicated Coast Guardsmen who flew out in a snow storm to rescue some fishermen in a sinking boat that was near our island. They flew in from Kodiak Island, made their successful rescue, and due to heavy snow (Near "Whiteout" conditions) they were forced to make an emergency landing at Cape Sarichef to ride out the storm. You will never meet a person more thankful than somebody who has just been pulled out of the freezing Aleutian waters, just in time to cheat death, in conditions nobody should be out in.
