I would like to invite you to watch my new short 3 minute film titled "My World: 1.0" about my sculptures. This is my first attempt at making a film, and this project will be upgraded and added to in the future to become My World: 1.1 etc. In this version 1.0, other than the plasma flames in the opening, the entire thing is done in individual photographs pieced together. | Flight Over Vesuvius is a kinetic sculpture with a small metal paper plane that flies over a mountain circled by clouds. The plane and clouds balance on the top point of the mountain base. "Galaxias" This is a smaller version of Bruce's large scale mobile Equinox. It measures 7 ft tall x 5 ft wide instead of 12 x 12 ft. This mobile was commissioned as a duplicate pair for The Residences at The Arboretum in Cary, North Carolina. The award winners for 2009 are Shepard Fairey, Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Siegal, Charles Best, David Chang, Jimmy Wales, and Patrick Robinson. "Symbiosis" (27x48) by renowned Los Angeles artist and sculptor Bruce Gray is done with enamels on wood. Several painting techniques were used to achieve this unique appearance which has the slight feeling of an ariel view or topographic map. This painting is part of Gray's new series of gravity enhanced paintings. There is so much to see in this painting that you can stare at it for hours finding areas that suggest imagry ranging from Beethoven to dragons. This mesmerising one of a kind contemporary painting must be seen in person to appreciate. The fine details are amazing! There are several new paintings done in this style.
